The answer is to THINK. Think about what college kids need. (a) food (b) school supplies (c) clothing (d) place to relax/blow off steam (e) place to clean their clothing (f) help with their homework, etc. You can think of many others. Perhaps take a trip to another college town and see what businesses are operating there in walking distance of the school. It also matters a lot how large the school is. There needs to be enough kids to make a business successful if you're catering to them and not the general population. Think about consignment stores, dollar stores, convenience stores, laundromats, copy-centers, computer services and accessories, used music stores, and of course, cheap FOOD services. 2 years ago 1 person rated this as good Thanks

I would strongly recommend that you talk to a business counselor before you do anything especially spend money. You have to determine whether you'll start a web based business or one with a store front. I'd call the local office of SCORE (go to http://www.score.org and input your zip code to find the chapter nearest you), the advice is FREE. The counselor at SCORE will most likely advise you to write a business plan which is very good advice because it will force you to dig out all of the start up details and the costs of starting a flower bouquet business and force you to also understand all of the aspects of this business including the customers you'll concentrate on (your market ) and how you'll go after them. You'll need to register the business with your state controller's office and make sure that you have any city and county licenses if any are needed where you live. All of this will come out in a business plan.Try this link :http://www.ychange.com/small-business-co… and read some of the articles especially the ones about a business plan and starting a business.Good Luck 4 years ago 6 people rated this as good Great tips and I will check SCORE out. Thanks!
I guess for his own home if I understood your question correctly ; he may just want to keep it as a business expense rather than out of his own budget .:0) 4 years ago Thanks!
- Chosen by Voters "If a company requires initial payment from you in order to work for them, they are not legitimate."There are a few legitimate data entry companies but are not hiring and have large waiting lists (1-2yrs). The majority of data entry jobs you seen online are scams. A real company will want you to have skills inc fast typing, may want you to know MS Excel, and will usually ask that you have high speed internet. Once in a long while you may found one online on a job website but thats rare.If you do an advanced search on yahoo, you will find previous answers, sometimes the info on these is good as the info they gave is likely to have been verified if the answer was voted as 'Best'.
