(It was in early 2010, and I was in the bathroom, and when I wiped, I saw blood. I didn’t think it was anything but then there was more and more. I told my oldest sister and she was looking at me weird for a sec then just said it was nothing. She probably forgot by now. I’m 10 and usually you start when you are 12 but it’s possible you can start at 8. Some person told me it was just a regular girl thing, but it isn’t my period, but now I see more blood when I wipe. Should I start wearing pads? I haven’t told my mom, but I know she had it once before and so she’ll understand, but I’ve never really told her anything about my personal life. Like crushes, boys, and stuff. Should I start wearing tampons or pads or cups? I see tampons around my house but have never really seen any open packages of them. I really don’t want to bring my dad or sisters into this, just my mom. We are going to have a long drive tomorrow today to pick up my sister from a sleepover. Should I tell her then? Should I take pads to school now? Because tampons are harder but easier to walk around in. But I do a lot of walking in school so should I use tampons? I am so confused. I want someone to answer me. It is not normal to bleed from you private unless it is your period . So if its not your period , then you should see a doctor. Although this probably is your period. Tell your mom you think you started your period and have her get you some pads. Tampons are not recommended for someone who is not used to their flow yet.Because for one , they aren’t very comfortable . Two , if your not used to your flow you wont have an idea on when to change it and you might leak (if you wear a pad you will start to feel like you peed your pants when its time to change it ). Three , you can get toxic shock (which can kill you ) from leaving them in for to long , like sleeping in them over night.
